Design
Design Background
Chang’e, the goddess of the Moon in Chinese mythology, stole the elixir, drank it, and ascended to the Moon. Since the Northern and Southern Dynasties, Chang’e has been depicted as a beauteous lady. Gradually, Chang’e was always mentioned when people stared at the starry sky, studied the lunar phase, and enjoyed the night view.
Ancient Chinese people created countless romantic stories based on the tale of Chang’e.
The Hua Culture Girls Series is the symbolic chinoiserie illustration of the famous Chinese illustrator Li Huan. He selects traditional Chinese cultural elements, personifies them, and designs the images.

Visual Effects
The visual effects of Chang’e Themed Keyboard originate from Li Huan’s Chang’e Series illustrations. The exquisite touch of

Lunar Phases Design
- The patterns on function keys is another innovation – printing light-color lunar phases on dark-color keycaps, depicting the everchanging lunar phases.
- The Chinese calendar defines the monthly cycle as New Moon, First Quarter, Full Moon, and Third Quarter.
- To implicitly illustrate the alluring moonlight and the eastern culture of the moon, the keycaps adopt the “dark background color with light printing” design. As the backlight is off, the moon fades out; as the backlight is on, the moon shows up.

The keyboard is very pretty and the details are very well thought out, with a little bonus for the packaging
It is just amazing, it has everything, Hotswap, Great Design, PBT Keycaps, Bluetooth. After I bought this keyboard, I haven't even think in getting a new one. This is the 3rd keyboard I get from this brand and no one of these have disappointed me. I've using this one for about 1 year~.
The silent version of the keys, is absolutely silent. I love it so much, it's so incredible for my sensory issues!
I love this keyboard, it is awesome to use and it looks absolutely beautiful. And the moon LEDs on the F keys are very cool. Piece of art.
Finally a truly beautiful mechanical keyboard that's also truly quiet!! I love this keyboard. The Prestige Silent switches are amazing and the build quality on this keyboard is masterful.
Mostly got the keyboard for an Apple Computer (it seemed to have been supported, according to the website), in order to replace an older (other) Varmilo keyboard I already had, that I wanted to use on another system. Must admit, I’m a bit disappointed, Mac support doesn’t seem to work properly (I did confirm with their support team) and there’s not really any kind of instruction manual on how to turn wifi (or Bluetooth) off. When I went to the website, it suggested an update to the keyboard. I’m squeamish about running random exe, I trust Varmilo, but… Even if I wanted to, it was a .exe, so can’t run it on a Mac. At the moment, the keyboard isn’t recognized in the web interface. Considering all those downsides might seem weird, I still give it 4 stars. Truth is, the keyboard looks great and types great. I wish I understood better its functions, so I could change the LED patterns and be sure I’m enabling (or disabling) features properly, but as a keyboard, I’m satisfied. No Mac support does change my plans, I’ll use it on that other computer instead (which is PC). It’s a bit of a shame not to be able to use this new keyboard on my main computer, but it’s still a great keyboard and support was super helpful so I don’t think my experience should prevent others from considering getting it.

By far my favorite Varmilo keyboard so far. Staying true to the name the art and design is out of this world just seeing the box it came in made my jaw drop. The theme is tied beautifully into the lighting of the board with the cycles of the moon going down the function keys. Build quality feels on par with most other Varmilo models which is fantastic. Switch offerings are small but offer one switch often said to be the most silent being the Kaihl Prestige Silents, and my personal favorite switch the Kaihl Prestige Light V2.
